Diane Wilson

Diane teaches drawing and painting at the Washington Studio School, in Washington DC. The Washington Studio School is in a beautiful old rowhouse on S Street, NW, in the Kalorama neighborhood, steps from Connecticut Avenue, and Dupont Circle.

"I love to teach because it's wonderful to help nurture the artistic interest, passion and talent in my students. It's rewarding to share my love for art, my understanding of the process, and my point of view with others. But it's not just a one-way interaction; I get as much from my students as they get from me, contributing to my development as an artist. "

"I encourage anyone with an interest in creating art to take a class. You'd be surprised what you can learn in a class, and where it can come from. Insight and artistic development come not only from the teacher, but from the entire class; you learn just as much watching students around you, as you do from the instructor's input.

You can hone an already well-developed eye, or you can discover a hidden skill or a perspective you may not have been aware of. An art class is a welcoming, nurturing environment in which to explore an artistic interest and to develop your talent, whether for hobby, for serious pastime, or for a career.
