Diane comes from a family with several generations of artistic talent. She has been creating art demonstrative of her natural talents since she was old enough to hold a pencil.
Her interest and talent developed throughout her primary education.
Professional education started at Washington and Lee University in Chestertown, MD where she pursued a fine arts degree. After the end of her first marriage, and as her first two children were off to school, she pursued a Master's degree in fine art from American University in Washington D.C., where she was fortunate to study with the late Robert D'Arista.
Diane now teaches at the Washington Studio School in Washington, D.C.
